Sehri or Suroor is a very important part of Ramzan. It refers to the pre-dawn meal that is consumed before sunrise at around 3 a.m. or so every morning. It is important to nourish yourself during this meal because the food you consume during Sehri will help keep you nourished and give you the energy to fast for the rest of the day.

Since this is the first meal of your day before a 12-16 hour or so fast, having meals that are high in protein is a great idea since protein can help fill you up faster and keep you satiated through the day.
